A year ago, I was about to start a blog on economics and student life in Paris. I was so exited to begin my master’s degree at Sciences Po and train for PhD in environmental economics !
However-, unexpected events have brought turmoil to the course of events. In other words, most things did not go as planned.
I just came back from a year of studying abroad and when I came back home, everything felt odd, friends were not the same, family was gone. I fell very ill.
Then it turned out, pure neoclassical economics is not my type of soup. I was so bored I stopped going to class. I discreetly slipped into another curriculum of the school to explore other things and chat with professors.
After a summer spent travelling to various villages in France meeting with environmental actors on the field and wondering about existential questions about what I was doing here, who I was, why did I feel so compelled to take the responsibility for the end of the world because humans are leading the 6th extension, I started a new degree in political science.
In between the worldwide pandemics and confinements, moving into a new apartment, fixing my broken psychic and relationships with loved ones, my life is still in a bit of a mess.
But whatever, let’s start blogging.
